How life takes a full circle

Today 17th Oct 2010, sitting at home chatting and passing time got a message from Subhojit whether I would like to come for Durga Puja and I agreed.Pretty excited to watch goddess durga here in Mumbai as I hardly find temples around.Three of us-I , Karthik and Subho decided to meet at a point. We inquired numerous autorickshaws, kilometers of walks, endless traffic jams and huge pomp and show of goddess immersion ceremony on road after which we finally reached our destination-'The Juhu Garden'.As soon as we smiled, we found the gates closed :(
Approx 10 km of journey wasted...Now what to do??
I suggested why not go to the Juhu beach and will have dinner at nearby Pizza hut.Again kilometers of walk, inquiring hundreds of rickshaws and endless traffic jams we reached Juhu beach. We smiled again to reach the destination but found the closed pizza hut.Now best option is to have a walk at the beach and go back to the place where we started from.
Juhu beach damn crowded.. full of Goddess Durga..wow the blessings were with us ..we wished to see a single idol and we saw hundreds :D
Took a long walk and started for Dominos.Again we inquired numerous autorickshaws, kilometers of walks and finally reached the place where we started from ..the meeting point :D
Now the payment option we had was a prepaid card which me and Subho had won in an event. We inquired Dominos, went to Mc Donalds and Subway but none of them accept that card.
The best option left now..TTMM..guess what ..'Tu tera mai mera'..thanks Karthik for this lingo :)
Had pizza finally, after travelling to some 25-30 kms..taking the full circle of the place and back to where we had started from.
Better hota if we just had pizza at the starting point.Today I discovered how life takes a full circle ..whatever it was..a memorable evening though :)

Sula Wines:Distribution Unleashed

As a part of our distribution project in college, we got the most sought after product:WINES.Now the best way to read the subject is practically observe things..and we made the most out of it.As soon as we heard the topic,a solution came up..lets go to Sula Wines in Nashik(approx 200km from Mumbai)
Yipee!!There is some topic of roaming around and I am not there..impossible!!

So I, Akash and Shubhangi planned to visit there.Too early..5am I woke up and we started our journey at 6am.It rained like cats and dogs today and to add to our pleasure, the bus we took (apparently Neeta volvo) was leaking from here and there. So half of our excitement was lost. The quarter was taken away by the 7 hours long time it took to drop us at Mumbai Nashik highway.
What about the remaining quarter? There was no transport to drop us to Sula Vineyard which was 13 kms inside. So all excitement gone :(

Finally after changing 3-4 different auto rickshaws, we reached the vineyard at 2pm.It was beautiful..seems like heaven to us.Lovely meadows, beautiful lake surrounded by hills. The rains were adding icing to the cake which melted our minds and heart.

There we had the wine tour..right from the crop growing to labeling was shown to us.It was amazing to see turning grapes into an alcoholic drink. Then they made us taste 6 different types of wines. We enjoyed the rains, the weather and the nature with the glass of wine in our hands(For your information..I don't drink)

After a series of several photographs and almost 100 questions asked by Akash to the guide(the primary reason for us coming to this place...which we ignored..lol)..we ended our trip on a sweet note with a walnut brownie.
But a good question was at hand..how will we go back?
No transport was available for the next 3 kms and I was in no mood to walk.We thought to take a lift but Akash said "I am feeling shy to ask for a lift!!".
To our savior, a gentleman offered us a lift and we finally reached our destination to catch the bus back to Mumbai.
I just reached at midnight and now am getting back to sleep with the sweet memories of this trip to the lap of nature.

Trek to Peth Village

Sunday morning..3.30am the alarm rang.I woke up and called almost 5 folks to wake up too. It's 4.15 am and I reached and pre-decided place.Monsoon season and weekend off. What could be better than an outing.
A group of 13 p
eople, quiet adventurous(Supposedly!),nature loving, fun loving etc etc started their way up to the Peth village. It was supposedly a small trek of just 1 hr(pun intended)..Tejas is gonna get killed by Neha for sure..
To my surprise, it started raining.Well the surprise was not rains but my broken umbrella. So I decided to en
joy the rains and get wet ;)
In the very beginning, we took the wrong route and went a km ahead..waste of energy for 2 km..huh.
Many small groups were formed during the trek and some drunkards were lulling to drink too which they did.Imagine drinking on the trek!!!

The path was too slippery, full of rocks and lovely scenic beauty :).The journey was full of adventure, beauty and romance too ;)
We finally arrived to the Peth village and only 9 of us were left together. Now the actual trekking started to the Kothligad fort.To my wonder, the ascend was 90 degrees and there was no route at all.Only big and small, some loosed and tighten rocks.
Our bodies tolerated all extremes-heavy rains, light rains, threatening view of the valley and came to our saviour was our little guide Pankaj :)
Somehow each one of us managed to climb with each others support. The view from the top was amazing as we could barely see anything except the clouds..lol
Now came the descend..It was slippery rock only and it rained too heavily, then he
avy winds and all the clouds were gone..where am I standing?
I was on the edge of that slippery rock with valley deep down below. It was nerve wrenching but somehow managed to come down.I had never feared for life till date..
The trek finally ended on a good note apart from the sprain in the leg I got which made it difficult to come down. Thanks to Akash, Anshul and Tejas for helping me out.
Though I cribbed a lot but now I feel that experience was worthwhile for a lifetime.

What an MBA student has to say?

MBA..these golden words used to fascinate me as it was supposed to be a quick ticket to high pay packages and good, attractive roles.
Haah.before coming here..I used to be in a world of dreams. Finally I got admit into one of the top 10 B schools of India [supposedly top 10 ;) ]
While entering into one of the most happening city of India, I had certain thoughts(good and bad) in mind.Interacting with new people from various parts of India is an experience. Then discovered that peers are good actually, big time learning can happen.
Fir when we get along well with each other, we have been hearing things like -"This is a professional college, we are here to perform.not to make friends".But luckily I have found good friends here ..touch wood :-)
The best part of the course is all of us are awake till 3-4 am due to pressure.Oh God..kitna zulm hota hai bachon pe..now here I uncover the reality..we watch movies and chat..padhai to 2 din pehle hi hoti hai exams se :D
And every weekend ghoomna firna..plans made instantly and we are out..that's our life of MBA.
Sabse best part-discussing on 'humare north mein to aisa hota hai,Mumbai mei kuch hai hi nai' while we enjoy the freedom here.
These 2 years will be the most memorable years of my life as after this we'll be getting back to serious world of corporate pressures. But this city has given me one thing which I'll cherish for life-'My friends' :-)
