Lohegad Fort-An amazing refresher!!

On the day of our mid-term Accounting exam, few of us excited thought of going somewhere for a relief. We headed towards the Silver beach and made a plan to go on for trekking outside Mumbai.
After coming from Akash's bday,we decided to meet at 4:15am the next day.As it was so early so none of us slept and we 8 soldiers-Manish,Tejas,Nipun,Anuj,Akash,Bhavya,Abhishek and me headed to conquer the Lohegad fort.Manish was dressed in 'Shikari outfits', bas bandook ki kami thi.:D
Bachon ka dedication to dekho..bina soye, khaye peeye chale ghoomne, agar yehi padne ko bola hota to sabse pehle neend aati :D

We boarded the train at 5:40 am and reached Lonavala at 8am.Since none of us slept so tried to sleep in the train, but since general dabba is always crowded..so :(
We reached the base camp at around 8:30 am and after having that "Damn Costly and Bakwas" breakfast started our journey. The wonderful waterfall welcomed us along with a guide(free of cost)who has helped us reach the summit and come back safely..guess who??-A DOG

We all actually kept on asking Tejas, kaunse hill pe jana hai..but he said pata nahi dekhte hain..and we kept on moving for hours. The scenic beauty on our way was amazing and we couldn't believe that some place near Mumbai could be so beautiful.

With little showers now and then and highly slippery route,we reached our second base camp-'Baba Hotel'.Tejas went inside to search the old guard ghost for water but no one inside :)..hence need to move on...
To our wonder, we were still discovering the hill and me yelling multiple times-"wapis chalte hain..bahut dekh liya" but the same response-"ane wala hai..chal nah"

On our third base camp, we saw a small dhaba..a huge relief..had neembu pani and went ahead for the final trek.
On our way,we saw many new things-Vikram Betal tree,Red colored Frog,Small and big earthworms and some creatures jo nahi pata the mujhe.
The stair case was damn slippery. But still we took innumerable poses and lots of fun.
We reached the summit and saw the beautiful lake,Lonavala,a mosque and many other places. The air was blowing so much that we can hear the sound of blow. Finally on the top,saw big snake holes and making our way safely out of that reached the edge of the hill.We all were amazed to see the architecture of the fort.
While returning back-4 soldiers enjoyed the waterfall and when we turned back, we were astonished to see that we went this up to conquer the fort. Then Tejas told that it is 3400 ft high.Agar pehle bataya hota to kabhi nahi ja pate :)
Thanks to Abhishek, the primary motivation factor who everytime running up and waiting for us to come and the dog who ensured that we come back safely.
In short the trip was amazing. After coming to Mumbai, it has been a month haven't seen anything apart from the very near and famous 'Juhu Beach'.Now I have one place more in my kitty :)
I will keep these memory to cherish in my entire life as life couldn't be more fun than this.

A Midnight Party!

It was almost midnight and we 5 sitting bored watching TV and drinking(me excluded) thinking of something great to happen on Friday night in the most happening city of the world.
It was raining in the chilling winters.Glasses got empty and we peeped out of the window."Little drops outside, lets go to a bar".I said "Hey,it's raining heavily, won't go outside".Then someone said "Itna to hum Delhi mein bheeg lete honge, chup chap chalo".I told them "main kya karoongi jake itni sardi mein as I don't drink" and I got the response back-"Come on,you might not get a chance again to roam on the streets at midnight.A great memory to cherish".Somehow I was convinced and to my wonder, the 4 of them gave me their jackets, caps etc so that I don't get wet and we all dressed in night suits moved out to search for a bar. After walking for 15 minutes and almost wet, couldn't find anything. Then we turned back and started moving again in the opposite direction. We saw a place having disc lights and hip-hop music.Someone said "Hey that's a disc,wo bhi itna paas.We can get back dressed properly and come here within 15 min.I don't want to go like this and get humiliated".Others tried to refuse but of no use.We went up,dressed in formals, came back and went inside the disc.To our wonder there was no dance floor and few people here and there. All of us thought ,where are we?
Well to get surprised,It was a private party!!.Sabse bada bakra bana aaj tak ka.
Then we moved ahead and saw a 300 year old bar and went inside. Was looking like an old den and pretty bar tenders smiling and serving drinks.
All of us ordered something and enjoyed few rounds.I kept on watching crowd outside and it was 2 am.Bar tenders were trying to push people out but who cares. We cared and moved out. There were lovely lights, happening streets and rain falling on our heads. And again a thought popped up-"disc chalte hain".But a big question-Where is the disc? One had an idea, take a bus and keep on peeping after 4 stops,we'll find one. What a great idea!!!
3 followed this hit idea and 2 came back. And finally, the great 3 also returned as they couldn't find the disc of their dreams after travelling for 30 min.
A great and memorable chilling Friday night of my life!!!!!
I guess you are getting curious to know this happening city!!!Well keep guessing :P

Who is an MBA?

MBA..whenever those three golden letters pop up..i feel someone very intelligent, sophisticated and logical wearing a suit and a tie standing in the front and giving speeches and sharing his analysis.
Well now I think,MBAs are 'Members of Bakar Association' (pardon me guys!!)
Whatever they speak,as per my knowledge is either already known to all or is some alienated topic, repetitive in all forms and last but not the least very much boring.I remember when we used to have vision, goals etc sessions at our organizations and I used to sleep on the last table :)
They try to make the conversation interactive by asking silly questions about which the audience has absolutely no idea .They also know that we are only watching them speaking with our eyes wide open and brains already shut down.(not to mention watching with brains open if the speaker is a good eye candy!)
Speaking is the foremost and mandatory skill required to be a part of this 'Association'.To be precise,Fundebaazi is required and the skill of Columbus..guess what?Round and round and round and round and back to the beginnning!!! :D :D
The more I confuse people, the more I am successful as nobody knows what my analysis and policies are :)
But 'Bakar' should be perfect in all aspects, mind it.It should carry an attraction. How?
Either you should be Rajdhani Express that you speak and nobody can come to know what was it or you should be Passenger that the crowd lose interest and sleep.
Still everybody runs the race with the CAT to catch the RAT and become a member of this prestigious group and get the crown.
After the membership expires,we are back to Roti,Kapda aur Makaan!!

I am a Corporate(Co-operate)!!!

Corporate means working in an A.C office, going in cabs, wearing formals and running business.Well I belong to a very small section of this ocean but still 'Happily' a part of this. When I see some person,an MBA grad or someone having a vocational bachelor's degree running some shop or a parlour,a thought comes to me-"Isse ache to hum hain, kam se kam aish ki zingadi to jee rahe hain".Then again another thought hits my mind-"Am I truly a corporate or am I co-operating".Co-operate ka matlab hai ki I am making them earn money!!
If I compare what I earn and what these guys earn, there is a huge difference. They earn and we make them earn.We are only wearing ties and formals, going to offices and living a regulated and disciplined life pretending to run the industry :D
I own houses, move in big cars and spend weekends in malls or some multiplex expecting and showing that I have a good standard of living but in lieu of pay huge loans for home, cars etc.Savings by EOD almost nil hoti hain.
And bas udte udte khabar aati hai..wo aadmi crorepati ho gaya and my dreams get a kick from there.
I have dreams to own a bunglow,an Audi but will this corporate life ever help me to get that,I still wonder!

The Train!!!

The Train-Well guys,I am not going to horrify you with another Imran Hashmi's movie but something which was my experience with our Lalluji's dream fairy.
So my movie has two heros, a heroine and a villain. It is full of laughter, thrill, adventure and what not!!My film starts on the day when I need to come back from Roorkee(A small city in U.P).I met two guys coming to Delhi and we 3 became friends. So we have 2 heroes here A and B, and the heroine ofcourse me :D
So we three musketeers ..all set to go back to Delhi, with this hope stood on the highway bus stand in the evening.
Kept on standing there but to our wonder no bus came. Then we thought of coming back in a train as it was a bus strike(OH GOD!! ye aaj hi hona tha). Also the last train to Delhi was around 4.20 PM and it was already 3.30PM.We somehow managed to reach the 'Railway station'.Bahut hi acha nazara tha-Broken benches, garbage dumps and beggars around. We took the general ticket and waited for the train to come.In the mean time ,all leg pullings and numerous jokes.
I asked the heroes,in which compartment we will go??A laughed and said,"Ma'am we will go in an AC compartment with a red carpet welcome.Kabhi local dibbe mei travel nahi kiya kya?Train ke peeche ek general dibba laga hota hai, jismei saans lene ki bhi jagah nahi hoti, usmein jayenge.Seat mil jaye to aapki achi kismet"
I lost my mind, aise kaise?I won't go in wo bakwas coach but who is going to listen. The heroine was in tension.....
Then THE TRAIN came and we all got into the sleeper class.Sat there gossiping, laughing and other people staring at us but who cares. :D
We were thinking that we will have 2 stations in between-Meerut and Muzzaffarnagar and finally Delhi in just 4 hours but it stopped at God knows what all stations.Small villages, big jungles and barren lands.I guess its average stopping time was 15-20 min over each 10 min of running.
Faltoo mein jungle mein khade hain doosri trains jo paas ho rahi hai unko salaami dene!!!
Then came our Mammu, the Villian of our movie,THE TTE.Ticket dikhao!!We showed him general ticket,he said baithe to sleeper mein ho.We all made innocent faces, looked at each other, looked up,looked down, kahan jayen? He said "I am coming back in a minute".
B said-"He is smart, will charge heavy fines.Take out all money and keep in the inner pocket, and we will say students hain, paise nahi hai humare paas. Will pursuade to confirm our seats for sleeper class. Before this ye Chips ka packet jo khareeda hai, ise fenk do nahi to ye nahi chodega humein."All horrified and Mammu came again. We again made innocent faces, looked at each other, looked up,looked down.He thought we are students truly and confirmed our tickets with no extra charge..YIPEEE!!
But our lovely THE TRAIN stopped at nearly 15 stations and numerous jungles in that 150 km journey. Our battery was exhausted of chitting and chatting till the night. Finally Ghaziabad came and B went off.A and me were sitting till Delhi. We finally reached at 10.30PM!!But I need to travel alone all the way to Faridabad alone.I took up an Autorickshaw and had several unforgettable weird encounters there too with people, traffic jams, discharged phone battery and reached home at 12 midnight.Agony was no hero to save the heroine..she has to defend herself.
AAAHhhh!!!That journey was really adventurous but lovely too as I found two friends in my heroes A and B on that day.I think all three of us will never forget adventurous story of THE TRAIN on 20th Feb 2009.

My Tryst with Nature

Nature..when we think of this word, the first word comes to my mind is freshness. The shadow of huge trees, fragrance of flowers, voices of small and cute animals and what not!
I also had a tryst with nature in a city named Srirangapatnam near Mysore. It was exactly we went there as a part of team event.A whole bunch of 50 people woke up at 4 am to catch a bus from Bangalore.I actually woke up at 3 am to be on time(Tough job actually, never woke up so early!)
We stopped at a small restaurant to have breakfast. All idli, dosa, sambhar vada and stuff.Delicious I must say!
Went again into the bus and started dancing on all South Indian songs(Wondering how to enjoy when I couldn't understand anything)
Then finally we arrived,Yipeeee!!Fresh flowing Cauvery river beside our resort.Actually intially looked like a jungle and guys teased saying-"Be ready to see snakes etc as we are close to nature :) "
"Kayaking"-kya hota hai ye??This was the event we were supposed to perform in the water containing fishes, crocodiles etc..OH GOD!!!
4 rubber filled boats were prepared but pehle jayega kaun??All were trying to get last in the queue.Fir bhi 2-3 brave gentleman and gentle lady went ahead to try their hands on with this kind of work. Was tough to learn but we got on.Swimmers went inside and used to hold out kayas and we kept on trying to row it..but kaise karen..1 man was more He-Man than 2 of us!
Jab boat chalani aa gayi..to we had a boat race.Strangely when we came out of boat, we were all drenched because of this water game :)
Bon-Fire at night!!How can we miss that, dinner on the river side.Drinks, snacks and all fire..How lovely a life can be more than this.Pulled each others' legs, played games, proposals, secrets etc etc.
Early morning we were about to go to a bird sanctuary but kaise jate..all were sleeping :(
Then all got up and went inside the river to have the morning bath..hehe..and yes again those water games.Wont believe, nobody was out before 2 hours of fun.
Then time for breakfast and time to go home!!OH NO,we dont want to go back,we live in the river!!Please leave us here. But sunega kaun :(
At last, need to move back.Sat in the bus and got to know that a girl in our group has hidden a fish from the river onto the luggage rack..A brake and it will drop on to someone. All were scared and pray to god..wo machli yahan nah ho.
On our way back saw Ramgarh-Are oo sambha wala..Coconut trees and the fresh air.
Finally, came back home with innumerable memories of our fun events in camera to keep with us forever for lives.

Love You Mom

As best as a friend could be
Always standing by my side
Loving me the most in this world
Making my life always bright

Whenever I think of my mother,I am truly filled with respect and honor. She might not be Indira Gandhi,Indira Nooyi or Kiran Bedi exposed to the outer world but she is Miss India for me.
This is true for not only my mom,but for all the mom's in this world.
She has the power to drive her family, pray for the well being of all.Scolds when we do something wrong and gets happy when we achieve something.
I still remember when I had gone for some interview and she was praying the whole night for me to get selected. She not only taught me at home when I was young but told me about various aspects of life.
She has always been by my side the day I was born till now, when I might not care much about her,but I know how much she loves me and I love her.And I am sure she will stand by my side always..
Ab thoda emotional aspect se bahar aaya jaye and some funny things to notice-
I can count her more than any best friend I have and every damn secret of mine she knows.
Its not only that we are very serious people,we bully people together, laugh loudly on streets and those street quarrels which we have while going together with so many people noticing us and looking at us very strangely. But still we don't care :D
Whenever I drive she says-"Ladkiyon ko car drive karni nahi aati" and bas wahin pe Mahabharat katha shuru hoti hai.We used to gossip about my friends' affairs, breaking relations of some, some getting married and duniya jahan ki baatein as a part of our time paas.
I really don't get a feeling of missing my best friend who is not here as we can chat endlessly else she bullies me saying-"Bahut hui bakwas,go back to work nahi to ghar ka kaam karao".
And our favourite time paas-Cooking!!After hearing ki I have a day off,I am the cook for the whole day and she gets very happy. Moreover, cooking to thik hai,she keeps on adding-namak kam hai, cheeni zyada hai etc etc..and end mein-ends up with a fight.
When we watch movie, both of us sleep in between.Imagine out of a 3 hr movie,we used to sleep for 1 hr and discuss about the story which both of us had missed to get to know ki kya dekha!!!
Best thing coming is "Balika Vadhu",ab to sab jo dikhaya ja raha hai wo sach hi hai!!Post episode discussions..I still remember how much we were crying at the airport when I need to move out alone for a month trip and people around were wondering ki in logon ko ho kya gaya hai.
But still I enjoy every moment with her..
She is an idol of love, care and excellent management for me..LOVE YOU MOM!!

My First Crush

My first crush....aahh!!!
I still get a big grin on my face when i think of him and start blushing.
I still remember the day I saw him.He was very good, handsome etc etc..you can call it love at first sight.
We were standing in our college corridor and he just crossed......and the whole world stopped for me.I told my friends about this encounter and they asked me who is he?I had no reply as I had never seen him before.
Then the whole gang was out to know who is he actually- a college senior, professor or an outsider. You won't believe we peeped into each and every room to find out his identity.
Then I got to know that he is my college professor and since then everybody started shouting my name once they see him.So embarassing you know, but I couldn't do anything except the BIG SMILE showing my 28 teeth.
Then it happened that he came to teach us...OH GOD!!How frightening could it be..what should I do?Everybody is teasing me around. But somehow I controlled my reactions and the professor got a hint about all this, it seemed.
And then he became my eye candy...just looking at him always the time he taught us..and he used to blush I noticed :)
Other girls said-This is not right for a girl to have crush on someone and blah blah..when guys can have crushes why not girls??
Well, now after 4 years,I feel that it might be a puppy love, but I still remember him.Its not that I just love him but I respect him a lot.I still blush after hearing his name and get into the world of dreams. Moreover,it is said that a person never forgets his first love...so do I!!!!!!!

Love of my life

Love...what does that mean?
Does that mean going around with someone, give all your time, dreams, hopes etc etc to the person you love?Keep thinking about him the whole day?
Yeah, might be.It may be the right explanation for some people but for me its something which I cannot explain.
I blush when I see him,I see him in my dreams, I keep on thinking about him the whole day.My heart blooms,I feel really lost and what not.....
He is very smart, understanding and keeps on running away from me.But I am no less,I keep on chasing him everytime I find him going away.Sometimes I feel,we are TOM and JERRY teasing and running away from each other but still best friends loving each other a lot.
Really whoever wrote-"You feel ecstatic in love" and "love has no boundations" is absolutely right.
But you cannot realize the power of love till the time you are into it.I never expected that this can happen to me..I feel myself so lucky that I've found him.But its not very easy to understand him you know.
This happens to every girl I guess.Girls might not reveal what they think, but once they fell in love, they worship it religiously.
I guess enough written about him..people must be curious to know who the "HE" is in my life..Well with the next sentence you will get to know.
Loving a guy???Naah..time kiske paas hai yaar.I love my ASPIRATIONS :)
