ng..3.30am the alarm rang.I woke up and called almost 5 folks to wake up too. It's 4.15 am and I reached and pre-decided place.Monsoon season and weekend off. What could be better than an outing.A group of 13 p
eople, quiet adventurous(Supposedly!),nature loving, fun loving etc etc started their way up to the Peth village. It was supposedly a small trek of just 1 hr(pun intended)..Tejas is gonna get killed by Neha for sure..
To my surprise, it started raining.Well the surprise was not rains but my broken umbrella. So I decided to en
joy the rains and get wet ;)
In the very beginning, we took the wrong route and went a km ahead..waste of energy for 2 km..huh.
Many small groups were formed during the trek and some drunkards were lulling to drink too which they did.Imagine drinking on the trek!!!
The path was too slippery, full of rocks and lovely scenic beauty :).The journey was full of adventure, beauty and romance too ;)
We finally arrived to the Peth village and only 9 of us were left together. Now the actual trekking started to the Kothligad fort.To my wonder, the ascend was 90 degrees and there was no route at all.Only big and small, some loosed and tighten rocks.
Our bodies tolerated all extremes-heavy rains, light rains, threatening view of the valley and came to our saviour was our little guide Pankaj :)
Somehow each one of us managed to climb with each others support. The view from the top was amazing as we could barely see anything except the clouds..lol
Now came the descend..It was slippery rock only and it rained too heavily, then he

avy winds and all the clouds were gone..where am I standing?
I was on the edge of that slippery rock with valley deep down below. It was nerve wrenching but somehow managed to come down.I had never feared for life till date..
The trek finally ended on a good note apart from the sprain in the leg I got which made it difficult to come down. Thanks to Akash, Anshul and Tejas for helping me out.
Though I cribbed a lot but now I feel that experience was worthwhile for a lifetime.
